The temple complex is composed of seven temples which are found at different points and elevations on the mountain. The seventh temple, however is the holiest and most remote temple and is located at the top of the mountain. The journey to the top is not easy but is well worth it once you get to the top. The Balinese consider climbing the 1,000 and more steps to get to the top a spiritual endeavor aimed at helping your deepen your spirituality. You must not complain and only those with a clean heart can make the journey. Climbing to the seventh temple is optional but recommended if you can climb the 1,700 stairs which lead to its summit. However, the first temple will definitely blow your mind if you cant make it to the top and will be well worth your trip. Monday, April 13, 2020
